What is personal training?
Personal training consists of one on one coaching from an experienced and certified personal fitness trainer. The trainer teaches you, motivates you, corrects form and encourages you to work hard consistently, while following a detailed fitness and nutrition plan that has been developed for you based on your lifestyle and goals. Personal training is the most effective method of achieving your health, fitness and/or weight loss goals.
What kind of results can I expect?
Everything depends on how badly you want to achieve your goals and how hard you are willing to work! True fitness is about the hours of the day and week that you are not with one of our personal trainers. Our programs will allow you to get the most that your body is capable of. Some other important factors are age, gender, attitude, what you learn from your trainer and how much you apply these lessons to your lifestyle after you leave our hands.
How often should I meet with a personal trainer?
This depends upon your goals, how quickly you want to achieve them, your schedule, time available to exercise and your budget. When considering the cost, be sure to remember that this is your health and there is nothing on Earth that is more important. Without your health, you have nothing. On average, most clients show the best progress when they meet with a personal trainer 2-3 times per week. If sessions are less than that, many people will slack off and won’t get nearly as much out of it.
How fast do you want to achieve your goal and see results?
The more frequently you meet with your trainer the faster you’ll see results. There are several reasons for this. With the consistency, accountability, motivation, and guidance that we offer, you will work much harder than you would on your own. As always, it is important to recognize that results may vary from person to person.
Do I need to have equipment if I am going to be working with a trainer in my home?
No! Nearly all of our in-home clients have little or no equipment and get amazing results. We have all the equipment needed for each workout. No more crowded gyms, no more waiting for machines, now the gym comes to you. All you need is to work the muscles and you can do that with body weight, calisthenics, exercise bands, free weights, manual resistance and an exercise physio ball. Of course, having some machines are beneficial, if your budget allows for it.
Are you certified? Insured?
Yes, I am certified and I carry a degree in exercise science. I carry a comprehensive insurance policy from Sports Fitness.
